How do purchases become moments?
Through a Wallet automation in Shortcuts. Open Shortcuts, then Automation, then New Automation, and choose Wallet as the trigger. Add melo’s Record Wallet payment action and connect the transaction’s Amount, Merchant, Currency and Date. It runs when you pay with Apple Pay. Online payments, Apple Watch, tips and refunds may need a different source.
Do I need to connect my bank?
No. Apple Pay taps arrive through the Wallet automation. Add anything else by hand, by scanning a receipt, or by asking Siri to log an expense in melo.
Where do I see my spending?
The Home tab shows this month’s total, your last seven days and recent purchases. Insights breaks the month down by day and by category, and shows how you’re doing against your monthly plan and any category limits.
Can melo remind me about subscriptions?
Yes. Add a subscription, free trial or bill, and choose a reminder: on the due date, or 1 day, 3 days or 1 week before.
What do my friends see?
An emoji, the place or the kind of purchase, a rough time of day, and a repeat count such as “Twice this week”. Never an amount, a card or an exact time.
How do I stop a moment from posting?
Every moment waits 15 minutes. Tap Hide this one in the notification, or Never share this place to keep that place private from now on. Ghost mode, in the Friends or You tab, pauses all sharing until you turn it off.
Which purchases never become moments?
Health, bills, income and anything uncategorized, and places like pharmacies, clinics, liquor stores and casinos. So do any places you’ve marked Never share.
How do invites work?
Share your invitation from the Friends tab, or show your QR code. Opening your link makes you friends; each link works once, for a week. Your friend needs melo installed.
I have a new phone.
Sign in and choose Start fresh on this phone. You keep your friends and groups, and they’re told your key changed. Updates shared before stay on the old phone.
How do I delete my account?
Open the You tab, go to your account, and tap Delete account.
Which iPhones work?
Any iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Moments, the Friends home and the widget need no AI model or download.
